Gary Grisafi, owner and instructor has been teaching professionally for the past 35 years. He has taught at the Nelly Berman School of Music, Georges Music, Pats Music and privately. Gary has been performing and recording for the past 38 years with artists such as Al Martino, Lee Andrews & The Hearts, Peter Erskin, Stewkey from the "NAZZ" and many well-known local bands. He has recorded and has worked as a studio musician in local recording studios. Gary studied music (Jazz Guitar) at the University of the Arts (Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts) and studied Guitar with Pat Martino, Ed Flanagan and Howard Herbert. He is co-author of two music instruction books.
The teachers at Grisafi Music Institute are accomplished and talented musicians with years of experience in teaching, performing and recording. Our teachers are well educated in Music. With over 200 years of experience in teaching, GMI teachers will provide students of all ages the knowledge, technique and confidence to pursue their dreams and passion.

Music Therapy at Grisafi Music Institute
Music therapy is an established healthcare profession that is evidence-based and uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages. Music therapy improves quality of life and meets the needs of children and adults with disabilities and illnesses. Each therapy session is tailored to the client’s specific needs and unique abilities. A music therapist is a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Music therapy interventions can address a variety of healthcare and educational goals:

There is a $20. non-refundable Registration fee due before your first lesson.
Students are required to have their own instrument. (except for piano and drums)
Students are required to have a blank staff book and your teacher will tell you what other books you will need.
Lessons can be purchased monthly.
Cancellation policy: Students are required to give a 24-hour notice of cancellation. Students can call teacher directly and if you cannot reach teacher you can call GMI. All lessons must be made up during the week at any time or day, you can also add 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes to a regular scheduled lesson. If for any reason the lesson cannot be made up then you will be given a month to do so, and if this cannot be done then a credit will be given to the student. In the event of a no-show or if you do not give 24-hour notice the students will be charged for the lesson or loses a credit if lesson is pre-paid. Emergencies and other urgent situations that result in a cancellation can be discussed and worked out with the teacher and/or GMI.
GMI offers Stage Sound Systems, Expert Guitar Repair, Bands, Live musicians, Party Entertainment.
Grisafi Music Institute provides sound, with a full sound (pa) system including a soundman to insure your event will run smoothly. We will provide top quality sound for any size event whether it is a speaking engagement, an event with recorded music or a live band. The sound system will include, speakers, microphones, mixing board, stands and a qualified sound engineer.
We will also provide background music of your choice or our sound system can accommodate the use of your own music via an iphone, ipod, ipad or CD.
In addition, Grisafi Music Institute can provide lights, lasers, strobe lights, follow spots, pipe and drape, stage deck and video cameras if needed for any event.
We offer live bands and musicians for all venues and events. We can supply a single act up to a 10 piece band, covering all styles of music for your event. Jazz duo and trio also available.
We offer guitar repair and maintenance services: neck and truss rod adjustment, intonation, pick-up installation, re-string, electronic work and more.
